You'll definitely get more selling it individually. Also many people might want the gardening bits but not the van. I think you'll probably sell it on here, particularly the combi equipment.
Thanks Neil.
Yes I think the combi kit is going to be the easiest to sell - and I look after my tools! ;-)

1. Sell your business as a whole potentially worth more than the equipment alone but don't over value it.

2. Sell each item independantly via trade forums, eBay, gumtree auto trader and in local papers.

You'll never get what you paid (sadly) but you might collectively pick up a few quid towards something nice. If you stick on your location here you might get some interest from us. Good luck with the new job.
Sounds like a great opportunity for someone to start a business. You could sell your contacts/contracts too.
I'm looking at getting a second van on the road for next year due to expanding list of contracts that are coming in.
Are you really sure you want to sell up though?
What if you have a change of heart?
Hi Richard
I'm hoping to get £1000 or close for the van.....it cost me £2000 a few months ago and I put a new exhaust on it!
I won't change my mind though - it's a dream job for me and this year has been tough with the business so I'm happy to move on!
I've been appointed as Garden Manager of Chawton House Library near Alton in Hants. The gardens are 14 acres, set within a 260 acre estate with an Elizabethan manor house connected to Jane Austen! It has a walled garden to rejuvenate, a wilderness, serpentine walk, Lutyens style terraces, a Ha-Ha and large sweeping lawns....I star beginning of January and can't wait! :-)
I hope you're able to keep us up to date with your progress Andrew.
Chawton House is in my old patch and I worked in Chawton many times over the years. I did a very small job in the gardens of Chawton House many moons ago. I also priced up to plant trees in the park, close to the A32.
What a job to land...good luck with it:)
Hi Phil
Thank you. Yes I will post a thing or two on here about it if that's ok?
It's a lovely place. I've already designed a new large herb garden for them to be built in the walled garden early next year.
I'm giving over some of the veg beds to the local primary school and I'm giving a number of lectures and walks about Capability Brown throughout 2016 there as it is a very similar landscape to his style of design...
Oh, and we are having a Snowdrop Day on Sunday 28th February as the wilderness is full of them apparently! So lots to get my teeth into :-)
