"i find a tall type of folding step platform all i need for  most domestic hedges. One where the part you are standing on is about 3 foot off the ground. I have both a flimsy one and a sturdy one. The strong one is called a Telesteps solid platform.…"

"Yes use them on some hedges below 8ft though bear in mind the top will be in the way when cutting in front of you. A lot of my hedges are 8ft so the top doesn't then get in the way as I'm trimming the top of a hedge at the same level as the handle."

"I manage fine its alway better to be above the job but there are times when a shorter ladder will come in handy but 9 times out of 10 i find i always need the longer ladder. ."

"One problem though David most customers prefer Stripes to Lines , Some mowers wheels cause tram lines which can offend the eye  . 
Grass Lines sounds really good though .
