I have been working in the corporate world for some years. My last position was as a project manager working as a consultant for a business relocation company. Too stressful, negative environments, basically causing high levels of anxiety and quite depressing. Needless to say I took the brave move of jacking it in without another job to go to as it was making me physically ill. Whilst looking for a new position within a facilities role still in the corporate environment though looking for something more creative, my very close friend offered me some labouring work. He's a landscape gardener. I've now been working with him for about three months on a learning basis and I've learnt a fair bit, bitten the bullet, borrowed some money from mother-in-law, bought some tools and I am now about to embark on setting myself up as self employed and I have to say, I love it! A great time in my life for this change and I am determined to make this work how I want it to. My friend Steve has done the same a while back and has put me onto this site as he advised me it has helped him loads with lots of very friendly advise. I'm looking forward to chatting with you all and getting much the same as we all know, I am going to need it from time to time! Thanks Dave
