The surveyor(if you call him that!) is severely lacking in expertise. Problems are more likely arising from the status of the sub soil ie: clay which is prone to contraction but ultimately is not your responsibilty. Get a second opinion. Good luck.
i would want proof from structural surveyors survey /copy to prove foundations (lacking) are to blame.(not plants) - bullshit if i ever heard it
obviously they have dug plants out to allow under-pinning ? did council build it ?
be carefull or get them to sign a disclaimer and take plenty of photos..............................
