It's worth explaining that you've made a mistake...you never know, your client may show some compassion.
If that fails then you have no choice but to accept the loss.
Have you just done one day there? If its a long job I would considering walking away.
Then I guess you'll just have to accept it and learn from your mistake.

Next time quote £300 to complete the job. Then there wont be confusion on day rates with the customer. I personally feel the customer is in the right if you haven't full explained it was per man, not per team of two.
