Have made a huge mistake by quoting £150 day rate on a quote leaving off per man/operatorHaving turned up on site 2 operators working all day the customer is now saying you quoted £150 per dayHow do I stand ?

    It's worth explaining that you've made a mistake...you never know, your client may show some compassion.

    If that fails then you have no choice but to accept the loss.

    No the job is finished sent the bill for £300 and he's only paying £150 as per quote

    A mistake on your part, you won't make again. Move on and put it down to experience at least you did not do two weeks work !

    Next time quote £300 to complete the job. Then there wont be confusion on day rates with the customer. I personally feel the customer is in the right if you haven't full explained it was per man, not per team of two.

    Agree an office error always put per man or operator on quotes not this time
