    We saw your note and it made us wonder whether 'nominative determination' - where your surname can influence your career - has been involved in your life. (Strange musings I know - but we are still warming up). All you needed was another 'r' in Gower and that certainly would have made it a definite.

    We wondered how many other LJ members have appropriate surnames...I suppose we could add Phil with the surname Voice with his views and thoughts shared on Landscape Juice. We're sure there will be more.

    Very good Louise....it was only when I got married as it was David Gower and if I had a pound every time someone asked me on the phone.....are you? And I played county cricket too!

    So taking the Hedges from my wife was not a big issue

    I do know a groundsman called Boatman, which would be funny right now....(don't really):-)
