Thanks for putting this info up - could be very useful for many!
Indeed useful for me certainly - I use Tribute as a selective with good results - guess I shall have to get an alternative worked out and use up my stocks before the deadline.
For Tribute, does that also apply to the Nomix CDA 'Tribute Plus' product as it has a different MAPP number (13865) ? I am just about to order some....
Gary,
Tribute Plus (13865) is indeed also due for withdrawal from sale 30/6/14 (Along with Tribute MAPP No: 13864) – But remember you do have a year to use it - end date 30/6/15 (so a reasonable amount of time to use it). There is a replacement planned but as yet we have no on sale date (but will let you know when we do). When this has happened in the past some people order what they think they need and then plan to use it up before the final date use by date which in this case is 30th June 2015.
All PPP (Plant Protection Products) licensed for use in the UK have a start and end date for sale & use, this can then be re-registered if the approval holder (usually manufacturer) wishes to. Tribute products have been caught up in the delay of the review into all Meco-prop (CMPP) containing products....

As I have said to Gary you still have until June 2015 to use the product, but can only buy it until June of this year ('14). A Tribute alternative is in development but as yet we don't have an on sale date.
We do however have an alternative product that offers a broader range of control - called Polax. The pack size is pretty handy coming in a 0.5L. If you know Praxys this product offers the same level of control at a fraction of the cost. If you have any questions on it don't hesitate to reply or contact us. Cheers - Louise
Hi Louise
Is it true all the residual herbicides are getting removed from sale?
Hi Robbie
I mentioned the withdrawal of Ronstar (above) In addition, Tordon22k (MAPP:05083) a stellar performer in industrial areas and against Japanese Knotweed is due for withdrawal from June 2014, with a year to use up.
Although it may seem like it, there are still some residual herbicides left on sale! I alluded to the re-registration business , above. Proshield (MAPP 14767) is a case in point – an excellent 2 in 1 product, it was due to expire in August 2014 but the same product has been re-registered with a different MAPP number (16118) until 2021.
There are also some powder/ granule residuals that are also still available, Chikara and Pure Flazasul among them, which offer a bit of flexibility with the option to tank-mix with water & glyphosate or they can be used with water only.
So as always some products are under review for removal, some of these will be residual herbicides but as far as we aware there is no long term plan to remove 'all' residual herbicides.
I hope this helps
Look forward to dealing with you for our future pesticide, etc needs.
Gary thanks no problem - if you ever need any help or advice don't hesitate to contact us. In the meantime have a good weekend
