As you only end up with breakdowns costing you time and money!
Hyundai have built up a good reputation for their vehicles. I would be surprised if they would risk this by producing bad products with their name on them.
The engine may be good but if the wheels or handles fall off your not working!
Do we know that ? So, anyone with experience of Hyundai gear ?
I've bought mowers, hedge cutters ,blowers, brush cutters cheap before and it always ends in the same place............the bin:)
What are the prices for their mowers ?
Just seems too cheap to me
I was told by my dealer that their OK made - but lots of short comings, IE Highish Vibs, Rubber damping mounts rather than springs, and thinner steel shafts on the strimmers - Overall said their top notch DIY tools but a bit lightly made for commercial work - I thought the same as you - good brand name so have a look, but for the hand tools at least, not worth risking.
But as per title - what about their Mowers?
Re: strimmers - checked their EU virbration data which shows the largest Hyundai strimmer is on parr and (considerably) less than key Stihl Models with regards to Vibration levels. Now there's a nice surprise..
The top of the Hyundai range is classed as V High End Domestic/Semi Pro use - so that's comparable with many others (inc Stihl gear that many use).
Do Viking's last? I thought they got a good spanking on a few threads recently as being not 'commercial' quality with various faults according to members....
I have been around for long enough to know that a Pro label doesn't always mean a lot. Honda & Hayter used it to charge a lot more for a front bumper & a conduit for the cables. The popularity of the humble Izy shows that a domestic machine can be used professionally.
The problem is that Hyundai are new & so there is little information - hence why I asked here. I doubt that dealers are going to be knowledgeable or offer an unbiased opinion.
