What are you cutting it with and what standard of finish?
What size ride on are you looking at?
Do you even need a ride on ine acre is not that big in the scheme of things (to me at least) as a 21inxh mower will do an acre in an hour and 15 mins or so.
Is it cut and collect or drop?
Maybe a stiga front deck?
I'd go for a big cylinder machine as they leave a decent finish even when not collecting as long as it's not left too long.
Nearly everyone will disagree with me though!!
Your up against the big boys!!
I can cut an acre in 15 minutes if it's square. If in a big field it's 6 acres an hour. At about £20 an acre
Even £140 for 3 hours work is going to be pushing it.
If you haven't got the kit you really shouldn't be buying it for one small job unless you can get a decent deal.
Is it really sensible to purchase an "expensive kit" for just one job................ unless you think it might come in handy for something else? At £140, I guess you're covering the purchase of the machine however I don't really think you can expect the customer to cover all of that. The customer might also change his mind after a few months and then you'll lose money if you resell the mower.
ill do you a great deal, ill do it for £120.00, you can have the extra £20 per cut and then won't have to buy a ride on :) haha
