gardening management software

Hi there

This is my first post, so I would like to say hey to everyone.

we're smallish (two team) gardening services company in edinburgh and we are looking for a software programme that would help us be much more organised in controlling jobs and customers. Is there anything out there that fellow gardeners can recommend?

Thanks

andy.

If you accept/don't wish to use something like Excel/Access to make something bespoke, then yes there are a few packages out there.

First investigate your current Accounts package. Many will deal with the main requirements including a little CRM.

If you have none, look at what LJN's solution can offer (search out LJN member Tim @ Wettone Mathews) called Xero - details in sidebar to right of this screen -------------->

Next there are some good web/cloud based solutions (pros & cons for these), but absolutely fit for purpose.

There are a number of good 'free'/'low cost' pacakges that are US based BUT will work prefectly well over here as standalone solutions.

Next step up is dedicated software that integrates into your Accounts Pacakge.

Friend me and I'm happy to discuss further (I have some experience in these for another part of my 'life' !).

    For reference, we use:

    -QB Pro

    -Qxpress Scheduling System

    -RSS's CRM

And a number of other specific packages for certain needs

  • Hey Gary,

    thanks for the info

I'd prefer something thats integrated i.e. everything under the one programme - accounts / crm / job scheduling

  • SOmething like PHPBMS (PHP Business management software) is open source and does all this bar the job scheduling which you would have to program yourself as a plug in. I use it and can access it on my blackberry on the go, so very useful. It also invoices, quotes, has built in product specing to help do on the fly quotes etc.

    • Hi David, do you still use this software? And ahere did you download it from please?
  • The topic is not new, but relevant. We are successful in companies that are well versed in business. Thanks lawn care management software you can manage your business even from a distance. Planning, billing, and more in one gardening software.
