We are having to order 6 weeks in advance but have 7-8before we can actually carry out the work so so far not been affected too bad
wherebaouts are you based, the shortage sorted itself out in yorkshire about a month back now?
I was talking to a woodland owner (about some winter work) last week who was saying that Stobarts Biomass offered more for his 20 acres of larch than any sawmill was willing to - I can see the shortage been worse next year if people are paying more to burn wood than make fencing out of it!
It's not too bad with the two suppliers I use. But the more unusual stuff, like 7ft feather edge boards, are still in short supply
4 week wait where i am!! and i have people desperately awaiting the fence to be rebuilt, a lot of people laugh at you when you tell them that theres a fencing shortage!
