Need a full new set of tools and after 15 years of manual labour and some physical issues including carpal tunnel syndrome I'm hoping to go for battery powered with the battery on the back to reduce weight and vibes on the hands. I've demoed the Pellenc stuff and liked it on the whole, especially the blower, strimmer was a bit heavy hanging on the same harness as the battery, hedge cutter good but could be a bit more robust battery lasted me more than a day. But quote has come in at £4000 for the kit! The Stihl stuff seems to be a fair bit cheaper but I've not been able to demo it.Is anyone using either of these set ups? Feedback appreciated.

  • Stu (eco garden maintenance) on here operates the Pellenc gear and has given good feedback.
I've demoed both pellenc and Stihl and think the Pellenc is much better - The cost is the only issue. I intend to continue saving so when my next equipment cycle (i replace on rolling 3 yearly) starts I can start buying up the pellenc set.

      Hello,

As David says i have been using Pellenc for four years. I am very impressed on the whole. Still on the original battery (4 years old) and only minor items replaced such as strimmer head support cup, chains etc. I don't use it all day every day but must get 4 hrs use a day with various tools. Strimmer (1200) is probably the only tool i am not 100% happy with. My health and productivity has increased because of less weight, vibrations, noise and the fact there are no emissions at point of use.

Price is an issue for many but you have to look at it long term together with non monetary advantages like health, productivity, no fuel to buy and mix, no servicing and starting problems.

I have not used the stihl or husqy battery tools so can not comment on them, sorry.

Thanks for the info. I am tempted by the Pellenc and don't mind the high cost of the battery but really surprised how high the cost of the attachments are especially the blower at £800 odd quid. Really need to think hard before I spend that kind of money!

          Hi Helen

all our pellenc and etesia dealers offer a free onsite demo of kit which i always recommend for everyone to do because in a showroom all mowers / saws / hedgetrimmers look almost the same, its only through use you find the reason for the low or high prices.

if you want me to pop you any info over just let me know on the office contact details

          regards

          neal
