Allergic reactions

For the last year or so.. ever since i have given up smoking i have been plagued by an allergic reaction when taking old fences down. It is either Ivy dust or the green dust that seems to end up every where.. Algae dust maybe? Every single time i am hit with cold like symptoms and they last for anything up to a week.. It even gets me when i wear a mask and goggles. At first i thought it may have been a coincidence however over the last year i have replaced well over 30 fences and been struck down by this reaction at least 75% of the time.

Does anyone have any tips or advice on what i can do to relieve/cure this burden on my life other than not fencing or manning up?

  • I'm no doctor obviously but I guess a standard anti histamine is a good preventative measure, build up a resistance to protect nose and throat. One to discuss with your GP I would suggest.

Antihistamine is the answer, I'm allergic to birch, grass and peaches but a pill a day and a spray as and when works wonders.

But I do recommend a visit to the doc or nhs allergy clinic for a quick test and then the right medication.
