Hoping someone may be able to provide some advice.

I'm designing a garden for a customer who is about to have an extension built to the rear or her property. She is having bi-folding doors fitted and would like me to install a new patio or decked area that runs flush with the inside floor level.

Does anyone have any advice on how best to do this in terms drainage and water bridging DPC? Also are their any building control or planning regulations I need to consider?

Many Thanks

Dave

    Have a look here - may help : http://www.landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/sliding-bi-fold-p...

  • Excellent thanks Gary - I knew someone of here would have asked the question before, but couldn't find the thread!

  • Assuming there is other works going on and they are inspecting the site then building control is the main stumbling block as they will be the ones to pass it. It does help though to be well versed on the various options in case they need a little persueding.

  • Thanks Simon.

They are starting work on the extension this week, so I'll speak to building control and the architect as this will influence the garden design. I thought building control may be an issue....always the way!
