Landscaper, garden designer based in the West Country. I do mostly complete garden clear outs using diggers etc. This is before building a new garden from a design. I don't like using client's materials - all of which I source and supply myself. This includes all planting too. In the past supplies of materials were limited. Today there's a massive range. But like the planting I have my favourites which I mainly stick too. It's no use using materials that don't last the wear tear either, so sandstone is the main paving material I use it because, it's so versatile. I've given up on artifical concrete which still degrades. I have all my own equipment and do sub - contracting. I will travel to most places to landscape etc. gardens. I've worked in Oxford and Bucks this year. Maintenance is only done for existing client's as I don't like sorting our other peoples messes, and I find maintenance interfers with building gardens etc. I only employ labour if I can't cope with a certain work load. The main reason I don't employ, (1) is continuing work to employ someone, and (2) good labour is hard to find. Do I need to say more!
