The Queens Head, Suffolk

After huge success with turfing their carpark for the world cup last year, The Queens Head pub have re-turfed for the summer. Who said turf cant live on concrete. With watering once a day this turf has already been down for 3 weeks and been cut twice.

    Just the thickness of the turf with one layer of fleece underneath to help hold a little moisture. It was fantastic last year - was on the concrete for 16 weeks before the weather turned and it had to be removed. Had to cut the roots from the concrete where it had started to bed down.

    Is that just the thickness of the turf or is there a little extra soil? Either way I'm impressed, the turf looks very fresh.
