S.I.D. is a device dream't up and constructed by Michael Thompson. Michael is a joiner and runs courses how to build structures using rammed earth which is basically 12mm down subsoil mixed with cement and rammed into timber formwork moulds to make solid walls for permanent structures such as sheds and walls. Un-screened sub-soil is placed by shovel into the top of S.I.D. and it basically passes through two different sized seives. Any stones/debris works it way down the chutes into the waiting buckets and the 12mm down sub-soil ends up in the wheelbarrow below for use.Micahel posted a request on www.landscapejuicenetwork.com for somebody to help him in producing images of S.I.D. for his forthcoming D.I.Y.
