Contemporary Family Garden, Ashby Cum Fenby, Lincolnshire, DN37

This large family garden is in a rural village near Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.The existing property is being re-modeled to form a contemporary "white box" home and the Client wanted the garden designing whilst construction works were ongoing so garden works such as wall rendering could be done in tandem.The existing red block driveway was to be temporarily retained (possibly removed and graveled) and more parking space was to be created in place of the existing lawn.To the rear, a kitchen extension was about to commence and a new large terrace was to run adjacent to this across the full width of the garden. An existing in-filled pond was to be partly re-excavated to allow for a sunken "fire pit" whilst an existing raised bed at the rear of the garden was to be re-landscaped to provide an interesting spot for the Client (a professional photographer) to take portrait photographs outside.
