    I saw this where we take our green waste to be composted, It is a big pile of shredded paper that has just been dumped. On closer inspection you can see it is shredded bank notes.
    I wouldn't have thought it would have composted that well with the foil in the notes, but I suppose it just gets mixed in with everything else.
