  Ahhh! Basingstoke - I know it well. Once was a tiny village until it became an overspill for London.
  The surrounding countryside is as good as you will see anywhere in the British Isles though.

  Ha ha :-) My girlfriend wont thank you for that , its where shes from but i know what you mean, Basingstoke , its an island surrounded by ring roads!

  I assume you are referring to the New Forest as being a nice part of the country and not Basingstoke! :-) I always try to get down to the New Forest when I can. Besides my little bro lives in Lynhurst so handy for long weekends.
