Kestrel chicks in nesting box

About six weeks ago I noted that an adult Kestrel would fly out from an old barn as I passed on my morning walk. I didn't see exactly where. One day I walked into the court yard and I caught the Kestrel leaving a hole in the wall which was specifically added for the nesting of pigeons (Pigeon was an essential and cheap food for French peasants). I realise that this was a mother Kestrel and she was sitting on eggs. This morning, for the first time, I noticed three plump Kestrel chicks sitting abreast on the tile ledge - unfortunately, I didn't have my camera. This evening I managed to photograph this single bird. The others were hiding at the back and this one quickly joined them.
