Hi Robert
if you mean was I working for nothing then no it was a paying customer
its a very easy product to lay, each individual block is tapped down into concrete to a line, after laying every 4th block it was checked for being flat using a piece of 3 x 2 and also checked with the previous row too which as you can imagine is more time consuming than just laying from side to side with a tight line
with regards to amount per day this would vary on the skill and speed of the guys laying it, best day we had was 15m2 but we was having a run of adverse weather at that time
cheers
Mick
hi mick.
the drive looks great i have to say. was it a labour of love though. what were they like to lay and how much could you lay in a day...
yeah i laid that single paver on the angle to see if you would notice it out of line, well done you passed the test :)
the Q5 is actually added with photoshop as she had a 1982 Lada and I did not think it was appropriate to have on her new driveway ;)
thank you Michael
the driveway was pointed using Marshall's Weatherpoint 365 and struck with a brick jointer
Hi Mick
Great job, we might have a similar job soon, what did you use to point in the setts?
thank you Dave
it was a recommendation, I laid the autumn bronze fairstone split and tumbled on her brother house last year
thank you Ashley
A lovely piece of work Mick. How do you find someone who can afford Fairstone setts?!
