Clifton heights

A small and relatively low budget show home garden. Where possible I don’t like to mix curves and straight lines in my designs, this was particularly true of Clifton Heights. I often find that curves best suit small gardens because they help to create the illusion of extra space. I started out on that premise, but quickly came to the conclusion that comparatively long straight paths would have a similar effect, particularly if they were positioned just in front of the patio doors. This leads the eye through the garden towards the focal point, in this instance the pergolas.
