Cleaning out the weeds September 2010

The second adjacent plot is now incorporated with the first and the fence installed. Design and pegging out is done and a systematic approach to cleaning planned beds is under way. Weed leaves are hoed off first and laid out to dry before being composted. Digging up roots comes next. Roots from perennial weeds are laid out to dry and then carried off site. Areas not yet worked are covered to exclude light.
