  Thank you for your kind comments.
  I used to use 35mm film but now I've moved over to digital. This poppy was a transparency and then scanned. The quality is OK but the transparency give more richness to the image.
  Digital is instant so you know if you've got the image whereas film you can't.
  I use a Nikon D200 which enables me to use my manual macro lenses.

  Hi Neil - I really enjoyed looking at your photos. I have only started taking photos of plants this year and am finding it a real challenge, especially as I only have a simple point and click camera. Hope to be able to afford something more whizzy next year
