We ourselves have investigated various resin chemistries which claim to be tolerant of wetter conditions upon laying, but this tends to be a matter of degree and we are talking about slightly damp rather than a full on drenching.

Common sense would tend to tell us that, apart from the detrimental effects that the combination of the presence of water and often cooler temperatures have on the curing of resin systems, it is extremely doubtful that effective bonding can be made to a substrate or aggregates which are covered by a film of water. Even resin systems dispersed in water will suffer as a result of dilution and delayed curing. We are not aware of any practical system that can be used successfully, regardless of the weather.

The reality is that in our climate a practical and economic resin bound system which is completely water tolerant, will bond to wet surfaces and will match the performance of current systems is very much like the quest for the Holy Grail, but we keep on looking!

Resin bound surfacing and the urban landscapehttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profiles/blogs/resin-bound-surfacing-and-the-urban-landscape2011-10-12T18:23:04.000Z2011-10-12T18:23:04.000ZPeak surfacing ltd.https://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/Peaksurfacingltd

For many years resin bound surfacing has been the choice for historic sites and country houses ,because of its hard wearing nature, its lack of loose stones and its distinctive gravel texture.

It is now making its mark in the urban landscape,as councils ,schools and public bodies are tightening their spending belts, resin surfacing is becomming more popular, its maintenace friendly nature and the fact that mechanical sweepers can keep it clean appeals to specifiers and decision makers.

Resin bound surfacing is a mixture of dried gravel and normally polyurethane binders ,blended together and hand trowled to a smooth anti slip surface, which can be laid ontop of existing concrete or tarmac substrates.

In the urban environment typical examples can be seen on domestic driveways, around tree pits, pedestrian shopping areas, courtyards and carparks.

peak surfacing supply and install a fully specified surface,[please contact us for further details}

New Network of resin surfacing contractors UK widehttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profiles/blogs/new-network-of-resin-surfacing2011-01-07T18:30:00.000Z2011-01-07T18:30:00.000ZPeak surfacing ltd.https://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/Peaksurfacingltd

As the market place for resin surfacing grows, more architects specifiers, landscape designers and achitects, builders and domestic householders are rethinking there ideas on decorative surfaces.

Resin bonded and bound surfacings are popular because of their decorative nature, ease of installation compared to traditional paving,no messy excavtions, the look of gravel without the loose stones and ease of maintenace.A easy bolt service for your existing business.

With the increase in enquiries and quotations throughout the uk we are looking to set up a network of approved contractors to do the work.

Further enquiires about the network or to register your interest contact resinsurfacingquotes@gmail.com

The introduction of a new permeable surface for the installation of resin bound aggregates.https://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profiles/blogs/the-introduction-of-a-new2010-05-23T15:30:00.000Z2010-05-23T15:30:00.000ZPeak surfacing ltd.https://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/Peaksurfacingltd

With greater awareness of environmentally friendly techniques of landscaping and SUDS regulations.
Peak Surfacing can offer a totally permeable surface ,Areas are dug out and a MOT1 base is compacted, grit sand is screeded to create falls and levels, then a 20mm polypropolene membrane is laid (With a 200 tonne crush weight)so it can withstand most vehicles.
It is less time consuming to install than concrete or tarmac, and Within minutes the resin bound installation can begin.
Leaving you a tottaly permeable surface with no loose stones at a competitive price compared to some of the more expensive sustainable drainage sytems on the market.
Of course resin bound aggregates can be laid on existing tarmac or concrete creating a semi permeable system, which meets current legislation.

.

For a free no obligation quotation contact Peak Surfacing on 07974 475518.

or visit www.resinbondedpaving.co.uk
