He was not happy about the tired red brick wall on the balcony. He called for my help.

It was straightforward to install theivy leaf hedge panels onto the existing surface. Use cable ties to fix the hedges onto the metal frame as there were some gaps to utilise. And use galvanised masonary nails to secure the hedge panels onto the wall.

It was slightly trickier for the other side of the balcony. Dave wanted to build a tall privacy screen to hide his BBQ and other objects behind the scene when not in use, but to remain accessible. Also it acts as a windshield.

I suggested we use the same artificial ivy leaf hedge panel to build the planter. I built the hedge planter the same height and colour as his balcony. One challenge was the narrow staircase to access the apartment. I overcame this by building the planter on site.

Dave's balcony has been transformed into a greenery. He is planning a party to show off his oasis to his friends and family.

This is what he wrote "
Jenny is an artist and has great vision. She works with you to develop the ideal garden or installation. The work she does is superb in quality, style and look. I cannot say how much she has transformed my garden space into a wonderful place to relax and spend time."

Balcony, Bench and Pergola in a London Gardenhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profiles/blogs/balcony-bench-and-pergola-in-a-london-garden2013-02-10T18:30:00.000Z2013-02-10T18:30:00.000Zrichard farringtonhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/richardfarrington

After large public projects it is inspiring to work on a smaller scale for private clients. This was a medium scale piece of work for a person who had strong and clear ideas about what she wanted.

The project involved making Steel structures with Yorkstone surfaces; the combination of these materials worked extremely well. The work consisted of a balcony leading from the house, down steps, and into a garden that was divided by two low benches with integral pergolas. It manifests the practice of dividing gardens up into separate rooms.

It is exactly the kind of project that I would like to do more of; through collaborating with the client and developing ideas or working to other designers drawings. The interpretation of peoples ideas into tangible forms is always extremely interesting.

http://www.farringtonsforge.co.uk/seats_authors/index.htm

Balcony railing planterhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profiles/blogs/balcony-railing-planter2010-07-23T20:00:00.000Z2010-07-23T20:00:00.000ZOfer El-hashaharhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/OferElhashahar
this balcony railing planter is great for any balcony garden.what do you think about the clip I made?
Railing planterhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profiles/blogs/railing-planter2010-07-16T21:07:55.000Z2010-07-16T21:07:55.000ZOfer El-hashaharhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/OferElhashahar
Cool planter solutionIt is sometimes worth remembering useful details of where to source materials. I still have that habit from when I did more garden design and looked for materials to use. Now I have this new planter just added to my products list and it is worth remembering it as it can be very useful. We call it the saddle planter or greenbo planter. It is not just useful it looks great and I was not sure about how it looks, till I got my first stocin

Balcony planterIt is a great solution as a balcony planter as the plants will be in the best place so it does not take much space but also used as a window box. What is great is the 8 colours to choose from so it can blend with great effect. The modern look and the size of this planter make it a great balcony planter.Railing plantersAs you can see it is supposed to be ''sitting on a sort of railing'' so it can be used to soften any railing and add some interest as a railing planter. Choosing the right colour you can lift any deck or patio without using the space for pots.

Fence planterWell if you are still sitting on the fence and not so sure if you may use it anywhere, it may look great on fences and logs. It could be great to see someone use the nice colour combination on a coloured painted fence, or farm gates. Does anyone ever paint fences in any other colour than brown? How does it last?It would be nice to get your opinion on the new page that I added to my website or if you have other ideas about how else to use it/market it.This saddle planter is in stock now and if any member here needs it we offer trade prices for lj members.

Cool planter solution for plants on balcony railing
