<p>From 26 November 2013 if no previous training has been undertaken in The Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control you will need to hold the Level 2 Award to be able to purchase, or use Aluminium Phosphide commercially. </p>
<p>Aluminium Phosphide is a dangerous compound which used incorrectly can be hazardous to the health and safety of users, the general public and non target animals, therefore it is essential the product is used by competent users.  </p>
<p>The Qualification will assess your ability to work safely minimising environmental damage when using aluminium phosphide complying with current legislation.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 1.5em;" class="font-size-3">Who is it for?</span></p>
<p>The Level 2 Award in The Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control (QCF) Qualification is aimed at anyone who wishes to control vertebrates using aluminium phosphide in a commercial environment and is suitable for pest control operatives, farmers, gamekeepers and greenkeepers.</p>
<p>This Qualification will appeal to people in agriculture, horticulture, conservation, sports management, and related industries where it is necessary to use aluminium phosphide to control vertebrate pests.</p>

Our Open Day is open to all, free of charge and includes refreshments. We have an interesting line up of speakers and guest exhibitors, all of whom are experts in their field.</span><br/><span class="font-size-2"><strong>10.30am Loren Lewis</strong> will share her knowledge and craft of <strong>beekeeping</strong>. As a local bee keeper there isn’t much Loren doesn’t know about our bumbling garden friends and the benefits of attracting them into our hedgerows and gardens. (<strong>Marina Christopher from Phoenix Perennials</strong> will also be joining us with her plants for sale which encourage wildlife into the garden.)</span><br/><span class="font-size-2"><strong>12.30pm Ken Thompson</strong>. A plant ecologist who is interested in the science of gardening, Ken has been widely published. He will be analysing some common gardening myths, taking a look at the science behind such topics as planting by moonlight, companion planting – does it work, and why? He will also take a look at our so called super foods and seeing if we can find those nutrients elsewhere.</span><br/><span class="font-size-2">Alitex have been commissioned to design and manufacture a beautiful and large greenhouse which will eventually be shipped to the USA. Before greenhouses leave our factory we have a trial assembly which ensures any bespoke snagging is done on site before the project takes shape in your garden. <strong>We are in the fortunate position of being able to showcase this USA bound greenhouse project on our Open Day.</strong></span><br/><span class="font-size-2">Our exhibitor friends, fresh from Chelsea Flower Show include; <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.italianterrace.co.uk/" target="_blank"><strong>Italian Terrace</strong></a> who hand make pots and ornaments from Italian clay, <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.davidharber.com/geolocate.htm" target="_blank"><strong>David Harber</strong></a> an artist specialising in outdoor sundials and sculpture and <a rel="nofollow" href="http://website.gazeburvill.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Gaze Burvill</strong></a>, master craftsmen in outdoor furniture. We will also be joined by <strong>Muntons Traditional Plant Supports</strong>. Quite a busy line-up for the 14th, but we are sure you will enjoy the diversity of our guests.</span></h1></div>
