Batteries will leave a dent in your budget plus gardening is not all about being on the machines , plenty of other gardening activities will earn you a living .

but as Im in property maintenance the grass cutting etc can be a slow burner and as I do need a mower and strimmer for my personal use my out out is not all wasted
