  • Hi Steve, i use cargo type trousers from these guys, Engelbert strauss, they are quite thick material and seem to last well, no good when it gets warmer though.
  • May be a manufacturer will read this and reinforce the stiching in the offending area. My dickies work trousers have split after about 3 months. Bit gutted as they are really comfy and there isnt anything else wrong with them.

I go to Matalan and spend about £6 on a pair of thick cotton trousers (combat style with pockets) and they last about 6 months. They are so cheap that I don't care too much if they tear or get torn/damaged etcf.
  • Won't stop your leg being torn or damaged though! (depending if you use any machinery of course)

  • I wear Dickie's trouser and don't seem to have the problem. my main one is getting holes on my thighs from carrying slabs and on my pockets.
