    I use a variety of gloves,  depending on the work. Riggers for hedges/thorns and almost everything dry. Those rubber/plastic things for wet weather,  and a closer fitting waterproof  pair for fine hand weeding. Of them all, I'm most comfortable in riggers- they even stand up to Pyracantha- the most evil plant in the world!
