Web Page thoughts...

Noticed a few fellow Juicers have created a new webpage and asked for peoples opinions. . . .

Well, if you would be as kind to have a spy at mine and any feedback would be most welcome.

I created my page myself this month, all free of charge from Microsoft. . . . keeps the expenditure down ; )

Please note, my camera broke last year and has not yet been replaced. I feel more pictures are needed. . .

I look forward to hearing from you!

Mark

I'm sure it is 'striped' not 'stripped' lawns that you mean

    I like the FAQ section

And remove all the exclamation marks from the text on the home page

    Hello Mark

Nice site which instils confidence in your abilities. I have one or two dislikes though.

I'm not keen on the banner you have at top of your home page. The dots half way along do nothing and you should get rid of the inverted commas - it's like you're quoting from a text. There is an overuse of them on your site. There is no need to quote yourself - just make a statement. You should only 'quote' someone else's words.

You have some good pictures of the work you've done already so I would consider using some of them on the main page to break up the wording and form the main banner at the top of the page.

I like your lawn cutting page - but as I said you could remove the inverted commas and the asterisk with words in brackets (* only need to be used if you are making reference to something in the text and is normally annotated at the bottom of a page).

    Just some initial thoughts Mark.

p.s. If you are going to use horticultural terms with regard to species of plants/trees - make sure you spell them correctly (laylandii is spelt Leylandii).

  • Thank you all for looking at my web page.

With it being a free web page it may not be 100% in appearances' hence the dots after Mark Bain Gardening Services. I also did not like these dots when creating the page. I am unable to add anything in place of the dots.  So unfortunately it'll have to do, It fills space I guess.

Points taken on quoting myself and changed :)

Stiped is the correct spelling, so thank you Geoffrey for pointing that out. Spelling was never a strong point for me.

Exclamation marks on the welcome page have now been removed. Unsure why I had them after each statement?!

Thanks all for your responses and advice :)
