    On the other hand if you are tired at says end you should be turning it up to go faster so you can get finished!!

    To clarify - my comments relate to the older single speed Kaaz roller Vs the newer faster, single speed Kaaz roller. We do have or have tried the Hydrostatic model and I also think all comments above relate to the single speed machine.

  Get the Kaaz running too fast and you'll sacrifice grass collection efficiency so don't go mad with it. I have a normal version, and with the engine speed spring set a couple of notches up it's bang on. 

  One annoying thing about it is the smooth roller, which means you really have to push the machine a lot when it's really wet. If the weibang has a ribbed roller it'd be nicer to use, but then that means there'll be a lot more pressure on the drive, which may cause it to wear quicker. Pros and cons. 

  Also, if you feel the need to run the mower slower, you can nip the throttle back a bit and it'll run fine, as the friction on the lever is sufficient to hold it in place below the 'click'.

    Thanks Dan, hmm not sure I like the idea of having to push it! Mine at the moment is a bit gutless up hills and it becomes a bit of a work out! As you say there's pros and cons of all mowers. If only we could find the right mower with all the features that works faultlessly.

      It only needs a shove when it's really really wet and the roller just slips on the water. It drives up hills no bother the rest of the time.

  To throw a spanner in the works, I'm often of the opinion that there is not a perfect mower eg size, wet collection, finish, roller etc. So, it's better to have a couple of mowers to start off. 1 good roller for most use, so full size and 1 good wet collector or perhaps mulcher. This could be smaller. Could be worth looking at going used and getting 2 mowers.

    After all the rain over the last few weeks that has most definitely crossed my mind. What I'm thinking is one of these next spring and then maybe a Honda izy or similar soon after- this is not an ideal world however as to do this I'd need to start a completely new thread on a bigger van!!

  As most people seem to be saying here a weibang is the way forward. I have run one now for a full season and it has coped with everything I have thrown at it. It's a powerful engine so will get through long wet grass. The finish is excellent IMHO better than hayter. It's damn heavy but the BBC allows easy movement even over some gravel drives. The only mechanical issue I have had is a cable for the drive lever frayed but weibang supplied my dealer in next day delivery and it was fixed within 16 hours of identifying the problem all under the 3 year warranty. Without doubt an excellent purchase and asset.

  Thought I would revive this thread instead of starting a new one.

  I'm looking into the honda clones, probably the cobra as that's what my dealer supplies. I have seen people mention the 'long handles'. Could anyone tell me if they fit in the side door on a vivaro ok?
