Survey for start-up business

Hi guys, I recently enrolled into college and I'm currently doing an assignment where the scenario is I have to develop a business idea, plan and proposal for a marketing business.

For all of those who are currently running their own gardening business, could I ask you to fill this survey out please?

I'd really appreciate it!

    Hi Andy

Was this a generic survey, some of the stuff just doesn't feel that relevant...Is your new venture a gardening company, distribution service or marketing service your going to offer?

Sorry to be so negative, (You need to do a spell check too) I just don't have a spare hour to fill in your survey...

    • It's only 34 questions, shouldn't take much longer than fifteen minutes.

Also, I think my spelling is fine. Are you British?

It's a marketing business, what I've found is that landscapers, as do many businesses, use multiple marketing methods whereas others tend to stick to just one or two. I'm trying to establish preferences.

I don't know how you can run a business and not think marketing is relevant but that's fair enough.

I do also run a gardening business, hence why I've been a member of this forum for such a long time. It's very relevant.

      Thanks for your input nonetheless.

I'm lucky to hold both a British and an Irish passport though I'm from the UK

Strictly speaking I'm not British as you need to come from Britain to be British, I live in Northern Ireland - go figure ;)

I'm not sure why you have jumped to the conclusion that I do not find marketing relevant?

Lastly, your video you posted last year, i found to be a little condescending however I put it down to you being new to the industry - Now I'm not so sure.

        • OK I think we crossed wires there, I misunderstood your comment about relevance,my apologies. :D

As for being from Northern Island, either be Irish or come over here. Make your mind up! :P

Submitted Andy, all the best with your studies.

    • Thank you, Simon. Really appreciate it! :)

I'd be grateful if you can share it with any other business owners you know.

    Hi Andrew,

was going to do this, but after the rude response to Robbie, I'll skip. I think if you're going to ask for help with a fair time input, then at least be polite. BTW, there are spelling / grammar errors. Wouldn't normally be picky about such things, but...

    • Well, I've checked with my spell checker, it didn't pick anything up.

Also, I didn't ask for criticism in regards to the spelling, I asked for responses to the survey. I wasn't rude to Robbie, I thanked him all the same. He asked if it was relevant, I take that as him saying it's not relevant to this forum, if I misunderstood fair enough. I appreciate I may have been a bit quick to jump to conclusions

Thanks for your input.
  • Robbie is correct. Spell check is needed

Also your number system isn't in order....

I can't see this survey being completed in 15 mins
    • If you read the intro, it states it was broken down into sections hence the lack of order. It is in order of category
