Really depends on what you will be cleaning and how often.

Decking or the odd path. I owned/used a cheap(er) Briggs and Stratton power washer for a few years and then hired a commercial machine when required.

This year bought a Honda - 21 Litre per minute machine with a 20" flat surface cleaner. Its amazing how fast it is at large area's however overkill for for smaller areas.

I only do driveway cleans now, my website explains the service for more info  - here

We haven't used a pressure washer for some years after discovering that algaecides do a better long term job (although not with instant jobs) - although you need your PA1/6. Best to speak to Progreen and see what they advise.

For a specific recommendation of a machine we have this one: It is the highest rated one we could find that runs off a standard 240v domestic outlet. Also has a 15m hose which means less moves of the machine. Can highly recommend although we hardly use it now as the algaecides are so effective.

    • Thanks for the algaecide tip, I do have pa1/6 but for the smallish areas I'm covering (I more interested in horticulture) the paperwork isn't worth the effort.
