Lawn treatments

Hi guys. Can anyone give me any advice please on pricing for lawn treatments? Something like 4 treatments a year for every season . Do you price per square/meter? Or is it more of a guessing game when you see the lawn.ThanksNathan

Scarification in spring is the better option as the lawn can "fill in" quicker when it's warmer. Many scarify in early autumn which is usually OK too. If you scarify too late in the year when the growth is slow you may be making it easier for the moss to establish.

Aeration can be done in the winter, as long as it's not frosty or snowing.

Nathan, also see the thread re the UK lawn care association & it's conference in Feb; you'll learn a lot there, especially through discussions with other companies. There will also be suppliers.

Also consider going to BTME Harrogate in January to meet with possible suppliers. I'm going to both and will be happy to meet you for a chat at either to talk through things.

    • I really appreciate your thought. I definitely want to go to one to strengthen my knowledge, i wouldn't do any work blind as it were. So need all the help I can get.

You're starting at the right time of year to think about it - plenty enough time to get things straight on knowledge, services, pricing, suppliers etc before the March rush. Don't hang around though - it will come quickly.

    • Brill. Would appreciate any info in the meantime on the services and treatments. Ideal time of year for certain treatments. And I'll have a look at that conference

How about you try the search function, I typed in lawn treatments

Some of those threads contains many golden nuggets that will answer nearly everything you may want to know.
