  • Just to add to pro gards answer i use a lawnflight pro which has a mulch kit that u can add to it.

This year the mulching kit has been useless due to all the wet weather but in 2007 it was a god send where i normally take away 15 bags of clippings there was none it paid for itself in two weeks.

Its my belief that all mowers should and will go down this route as the cost of waste is soaring.

also regarding the causing thatch issue which it does i use this to my advantage and scarify all my gardens when its quiet in febuary.
  • so caan you buy a mulching kit for a petrol mower then

Yes i think the lawnflight is the only roller based mower that you can as for the four wheel mowers iam not sure.
  • Do not trust a dealer there job is to sell you products that they stock, go to five dealers and they will all give different advise.

Go ask other gardeners thats where you will find the best advise or use a site like this you cant go wrong then.
