"Had mine two weeks now, used a few times. So much easier to use!! And every Monday you get a text or email telling you the weekly price. Great service!" - Steve Wilkinson of Sonic Landscaping

Landscape Juice has negotiated preferential rates for Landscape Juice Network members.

  • The annual savings calculation is based on a saving of 3p/litre against the national average pump price. Savings may fluctuate depending on region and market conditions.
  • Online account so you can monitor fuel usage - use the data for calculating costs per mile etc.
  • No costs to you for setting up accounts of for the cards
  • Credit account - cashflow benefits - payments by direct debit on 15th of each month
  • No more receipts to lose as all information is online and by statements sent to you
  • Easy management if you run a small fleet

This card scheme would be open to all members (even if they are one-man-band/part-time).

As part of the scheme, the card company will keep you abreast of fuel news - where's cheapest in your area etc.

"I received my first invoice today. The pump price was £1.35.9/L  - We were invoiced at £1.30, saving me 6p/L - Or nearly £8 on my first bill" Gary Cobb at Acer Paving and Landscaping

Count me in on this one. Excellent idea and thanks for taking the time to sort it out.

It is only worthwhile of course if the issuing company has a fuel station near enough to the member. Travelling further to fill up may cancel out the savings - although the other benefits may still make it worthwhile.

  • Great idea

We use a texaco fuel card mainly for the club card points.

But if there is saving to be made on fuel you can count me in.

    Hi Phil,

We currently use fuelcards and most of the 'benefits' mentioned above are very worthwhile. For me just the reduced admin and increased accountability from my guys makes it a no brainer.

Most Fuelcard companies offer either card 'tied' to particular chain or ones that work across multiple brands (inc Supermarket stations). As a rule, each business can select their preferred type of card.

We currently use FastFuel from Texaco as they have most stations in our area of operation. The Fuel card companies also operate Website to allow you to enquire on 'nearest' garage etc as well as a map book (going out of fashion....)

We would be happy to consider swapping to The "LJN" card.

If anyone wants to fire any questions to someone that currently uses one, feel free to contact me...

Thanks for the feedback so far.

I've spoken to two companies so far and the second (the manager I spoke to today is a contact of Robin Ainsworth) although the first company have been pretty useless to deal with if I'm honest.

They are putting together a package for LJN and with a bit of luck, I should know a little more this afternoon.

Gary (Acer) I would hope this is set up within a month.

  • yes im interested been looking at some recently but at the minute im currently not using enough to warrant a fuel card as you generally have to buy a fuel card

Nic not always the case - so don't discount them

We did not 'buy' our cards, nor do we pay monthly fees.

You don't 'have' to travel further, but it does make you more organised about filling up vehicles and fuel cans etc.

The point I raised in my first post is that all the companies we spoke to offered the range of: Shell, Esso, Texaco/Murco, BP & suppermarket etc brand fuelcards. They looked at our spend & locatio n and suggested to US to use Texaco. So, as a customer of the FuelCard company YOU can chose which card suits your needs and location.

The 'features' of each card do differ in terms of discount offered, min spend (ours has none) or monthly charge (which gives you the best fuel price/discount)...
