The pellenc saw looks like a different take on a 2-handed saw to me, though I've not used one.

How can you judge a company or its products, apparently never having used one?
Etesia as a brand are well known, well respected in the industry and have a heavy involvement with LJN, going so far as to have spokespeople on here, I would think again before verbally attacking their products and promotional material.
Also, I am sorry but I despair at the numerous grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors in your post above. Spelling and grammar check takes so little time to do but makes things SO much nicer to read!
Not looking to build many bridges on this forum with a belittling post of that nature are you Ben ?. Etesia are well liked and well rated by the members of LJN, me included. Put a little more thought and research into your posts before launching your posts onto us, please.
im not tearing up the companies reputation im simple stating i briefly looked through there website and instantly found errors with there pictures on safety, refering to there chainsaw pic and overall look on there range of equipment, thats why i asked the question to other members on there experiance with using there machinery were i live in north wales i have never heard of this company, but from what the website states is they have been around for a long time. I have used many makes of machinery and i find it strange all of a sudden i keep hearing the name Etesia ? so what im saying is should i leave my stihl and husky at home and start using one of these Etesia's machines ?
Perhaps the way your post came over was abit "off", it does seem on a first read that your judging Etesia mowers on their appearance and little else - And to my knowledge etesia do not make Chainsaws but do distribute them in the UK for another company (pellenc), so this line of criticism shows you have not done any research into the company.
I have never owned or tried a Husqavarna tool - and for that reason I would not pass comment on them other than what I know to be true and a fact - IE the vibration figures / power level etc as published and spare parts availablity.
For the record - I Run a pro46PHTS and find it to be the best mower I have used - Great all round, Can cut wet grass without a flinch and tackles the longest grass in one pass. I purchased it after reading all the feedback on LJN and speaking to a County council ground worker using one who thought they were the best machines he'd ever worked with in 10 years on the job.
I've only used an etesia once, I had problems with it and it went back to the shop, but as i have said on other threads regarding etesias this mower was refurbished by the dealer so i have come to the conclusion that the problems arose from the refurbishment as opposed to etesias original build quality,
I have read a lot of good reports about them on here which suggests that they are a very good brand, my experience with them was an unfortunate one that was not a reflection on etesia whatsoever.
Best bit of advice I could give is find a dealer local to you & demo one of their machines, we have the PRO51X it does the job well but is a bit on the heavy side, would we buy another ? Probably would but the smaller variant have mentioned via forum & personally with Neale at Etesia the need to come up with some sort of device that gives a stripe as for us this is a benchmark.

Secondly, I find it rather surprising that some one who has been in this business for as long as you haven’t heard of Etesia particularly if you do commercial work. Etesia is a very well respected brand and particularly successful in your neck of the woods and further North.
I appreciate that you are judging the company from their web site appearance but considering the exercise you have recently gone though with your own site and designs that what floats one persons boat doesn't always float another person.
For the record I now currently run 5 Etesia's along with other makes.
That you for the info i was after, david in regards to the etesia chainsaw it was a page of the actual Etesia website that i saw it mayby im looking at a different website ?
I find it strange that you have never heard or used Husqavarna equipment mayby its were i am from in north wales there are only a few makes of machinery were they have there own stores that sell there own product have after sales and services, for chainsaws its Stihl or Husqavarna for heavy duty strimmers and brushcutters its Stihl, for ride on mowers i use Toro, for my mowers i use Mountfield.
My personally preference for using these makes is not based on price its quality, durability, aftermarket services, same day spares availability and sound reputation, i will admit they cost the earth to buy but treat the machinery with care and they will last a long time, there are many smaller companies around but, one they dont last the distance, and you cant get the spares.
So when Etesia was mentioned by yourselves as a contender for a good machinery, if they would of fit my criteria for bying machinery i would understand i would buy one but they dont, and like i said ive never heard of them.
