  • I used ready hedge for a client that wanted an instant box hedge last year, -  the plants were good quality, they were slightly let down by there rather expensive and obviously a courier who couldn't care less deliverer, who left mud on my clients drive and gave me the hessian wrapping to get rid of.

We've just planted commercially 2 * 16m of box and used good bare root stock - which is still just available.

Ht 30-40cm price dependant on quantity.

We went dense, planted in a shallow 'W', by trenching, introducing OM, backfilling, firming & watering in.

The ht has just been 'normalised' by a light top trim.

I planted about 200 b/r box last year in a garden. They were suppled at about 30-40cm (just like Gary's above).

This is probably the cheapest way to do it and one year on the results still look great.
