I have found shampoo works just as good (particularly Loreal Lumino) but getting to a stage in life where I don't have too much cause for shampoo :-(
I use soap and hot water and a hand/nail brush...works for me...the brush gets muck out from under the finger nails too without using tools to dig it out!!!
A Pumice stone is good for keeping the callouses at bay too I find.
Using a good moisturiser stops the cracks especially in the Winter.
Have a nice clean hand weekend.
I should really use barrier cream every few hours.
i issued all our guys with vaseline intensive care cream to stop sore hands in the winter months,no complaints yet.
We use sanitizing hand gel in the vans as no need for water - it disinfects the hands which is always a good thing before having lunch but wouldn't say a great remover of the imbedded dirt. Gloves and barrier cream must be the best option.
gloves
dont get your hands dirty ? wipe on trousers..............? gloves? moisturisers / baby-johnson's
Loctite 7850 hand cleaner (Cat number 29620) not to be confused with their super glue :-)
My hands have never been this clean and soft for ages!
This is what I use at home: http://www.cromwell.co.uk/SOL7801202G and is just as good as the
Loctite!
My wife also uses it as it is a powerful cleanser but does not wreck your skin either :)
