Garden Shows

Hi Everyone,I am looking to exhibit my irrigation products at local garden shows. After talking to few exhibiters I have been told that the smaller local shows can be more effective, less expensive and more fun. Any comments? And any recommendation for good garden shows in the south of England?

  • Yes, i agree that smaller shows are less expensive to exhibit at. Just make sure that they do enough PR to promote the show for visitor attendance. Good shows are at West Dean, Parham House,Stansted Park to name a few .Look for agricultural shows too as they have a good range of stands usually .Good luck.
  • You get what you pay for - the smaller shows are cheaper, but have much smaller footfalls. Your typical plant fair / garden show may have visitor numbers counted in hundreds or a few thousands, while your Malverns and Chelseas count in hundreds of thousands. Ag shows fall somewherein between - the ones we do have 15,000 - 30,000 visitors (but they're not all gardeners of course!).

If you're a first time exhibitor its probably smart to start off with a few local ones to test the water, and progress from there.

We operate in the midlands, so I can't offer any show suggestions, unless you want to come up north!
  • Hi Claudia,

Thank you for your response. I have contacted West Dean and will look into the others. Thanks again
