I have a set of ladder clamps which are great for normal step ladders; however i cant decide the best way to secure these tripod ones, as the clamps arent wide enough, especially near the base, as its not far off as wide as my vehicle!! I do have straps which i have used once so far, but the clamps for me put my mind at rest as they feel so much more secure. Anyone know of anything specifically designed for these ladders or any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Petition: Stronger punishment for perpetrators of tool thefts from tradesman's vehicleshttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/petition-stronger-punishment-for-perpetrators-of-tool-thefts-from2016-12-28T16:38:56.000Z2016-12-28T16:38:56.000ZPhil Voicehttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/philvoice

A tradesman's tools are his livelyhood ,he isn't always in the position to empty his van an lock them away .There are organised gangs traveling the length of the country helping themselves to thousands of pounds worth of tools by peeling open the doors of hard-working tradesmen and helping themselves to his tools.

I'm new to the forum but hope I have found the right place for help with a big problem I currently have.

I only started up for myself last year and rather than try for a loan to get myself a van I decided to work out of my Volvo Estate car. This is obviously far from ideal but a necessary stage whilst I save up for a larger vehicle.

The main problem I have is with waste removal. If the job is big enough for a skip then great, I have no problem. It's when a skip is not practical or necessary that I struggle. If I have to price in a Hippo Bag or small skip on smaller jobs then it's hard to be competetive.

Does anyone have any suggestions for waste removal in my situation. Has anyone ever heard of grab lorries coming to take away dumpy bags of mixed waste? That could be a winner if I can find someone willing to do this..

Whilst I'm asking... should my next vehicle be a van or should I wait and save up for a flat bed tipper?

Thanks!

Dave
Bristol Landscaping Services

Best value van insurance?https://landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/van-insurance-22012-07-23T19:12:41.000Z2012-07-23T19:12:41.000ZMarkhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/Mark

Mines due, I'm with the NFU every year it goes up :-( every year I get an alternative quote to make sure the renewel is competitive...this year I clicked on Van compare at the top of the screen whilst on landscape juice, filled out enough detail to clone several of my good self, got my quote, which was no better and within 5 mins the home phone is ringing off the hook from guess who !

So my insurance goes up and I seem to be paying for either a million sales staff ..or.. the sizable print bill for the amount of gumf that the NFU seem to want to squeeze through my letter box ?

I always thought insurance was worked out on a risk assesment of the client ie age/ postcode etc etc...mine should therefore go down year on year !? but it seems the regular law abiding folk who don't claim just pay for everything else the industry needs !?

And breathe

Happy to stay with the NFU but blimey what a racket
