Calling all Garden Design students or beginners..25th September.The Earth Designs Open Day09:00 - Meet for Coffee – How to set up and run a company:- How to be a successful garden designer? Creativity – where do I find it? Marketing and Branding a company Legal and Finance Hiring and Firing Health and Safety10:30 – Trip out (one of the following) Visit to Prospective client* A Site Survey* A Presentation of a garden Visit to an Earth Designs Garden* This will be dependent on what enquiries I get in the next few weeks and whether the prospective client is willing to have 6 people go to their house and quote for a job. If you would prefer to go on a Site Survey rather than visit a potential client please let me know.12:30 – Sandwiches13:00 – ‘I have the client now what do I do’ The Earth Designs Process The initial consultation Site surveys and budgeting Sourcing materials Presenting to a client Contractors, suppliers and staff Managing clients expectations After Care and recommendations15:30 - Site visit to see work in progressThis will probably be a site in East London. Depending on where the 10:30 appointment is we may not return to the studio in between and may do the Q&A session in a pub or café near to the site.17:00 - Finish You may chose to make your way home from the site in East London
