  try 123-reg.co.uk prices vary from 5.98 to around 59.88, obviously you can use .co.uk,.com,.org.

  interested to know what name you were trying to know what name you were buy for that type of money.

  the name is not as important as the seo

  Vistaprint register the domain for free if you do it as part of their website package. They are pretty decent basic sites, admittedly you have to put your own text and pictures on and they take a bit of playing around with. Depends how technical you want to go I suppose. They also chuck in a search engine optimiser (helps google and such pick it up, email marketing and loads of other stuff) - prices from around £3 a month.

  I maybe wrong, but I understood SEO on Vistaprint websites was practically non-existant, but GBBO sites can benefit from Google involvment ?

  if i remember rightly my domain name is about £8 a year, how can someone try to charge over £900 that is just greedy

  I bought from ipage.com £2.99/ mo. they drop in some google staff like adwords vouchers , analyser ect.. for free plus unlimited mailboxes, unlimited space and traffic... and some others things. their drag and drop web builder is a bit limited but still you can make decent website

   

  some people guess and buy/ register domain names (for minimal price) which than will try to sell with profit as the one you looking at the mo. I personally would not go for it and as said Gary tried to think of any not registered yet...

  Mrs B tells me that she's never paid over £20 (for a .com) or £6 (for a dot.co.uk) domain name. She uses 123 too. If the domain name you'd like isn't available probably best to think of a new one?

   

  We use webfusion to host her website but we hear that moonfruit is good for beginners.

  I have one in mind that i will probably use, but it does'nt say anything about eco/green/conservation like the ones above.

  I doubt it is accurate but the following link claims to give an online domain valuation. When I first looked for a web address I wanted something local but it seems non trading companies register domain names wholesale and create a market in them. So I went of on different tangent and decided to go for something hopefully easy for prospectve customers to remember.

  I can also recommend 123-reg.co.uk - good choice and fairer prices - they threw in some google adwords too. Ultimately all reg websites are selling the same domains, they're just acting as the agent if you like. The get british business online does sound appealing too but make sure you read the small print as I believe they'll tie you in to a BT deal for a period of years after the initial free year...

  The SEO is most important though as Stuart at TVG very kindly pointed out to me a few months back. Thanks Stuart and good luck to you (Stuart) too!
