  • I find the best way to calculate is to multiply m2 by depth in m so 66 x 0.05 = 3.3m3 then multiply by 1.8 to give the tonnage required looking at 6t for this job, but note that in a ton bag it can be as little as 800Kg in the bag just be aware of this. I find it better buy loose especially for slate loads easier to shovel than out of a bag.
