  • Gutter clean first thing (bungalow only thank god), then hedge cut and tidy up ivy and have just got to finish our regular Thursday job. Hasn't rained much but blowing a gale!

  • One of the boys is out with full body armour pressure washing a driveway.  I'm doing "necessary paperwork".  At the moment it is snowball sized hail with approx 90mph gales behind them.  Expecting the phone to be going of the hook tomorrow with fencing and tree work.

  • I don't want to be standing anywhere near anyone's roof today. Did some sheltered bark mulching earlier but that's it for the day. Horriffic wind, my greenhouse has been written off completely. Just watching the street for flying fencing, hopefully get a bit of tree work after this has finished.

  • Ditto Dan,

Managed to make one maintenance contract visit early on (wearing my safety helmet, don't want a slate on my head from 40ft!) but then got caught in a mini flash flood in Anniesland. Can't do too much in this weather...

  • I drove to site, then drove home again, i would have made more mess than anything else.

  • VERY windy here this morning so cleared a customers large greenhouse of tomato & pepper plants then put a thick mulch down afterwards so managed to stay out of the wind mostly. It was a job I was saving for a rough day like today. No work this afternoon as it's now raining too.

Working in strong winds makes me feel a tad combobulated!!

  • Gave up at lunch due to horizontal rain we couldn't see properly it was that bad.

After 6yrs being self employed i still feel really guilty for taking time off work
  • Yes been fencing and tomorrow doing a shed base. Its been more windy rather than cold. Cant grumble more than happy to be working in December :)
