Quite an interesting concept but I believe the price is close to quadruple digits? Personally I'd stick with a proven make (and fuel source!) for similar money at least for the next few years until they're more proven for use in mowers.

    • Hi Seth,

You are right, the price is quadruple digits if you add batteries and charger, mainly because you are paying for the fuel upfront. It is a bigger initial investment, however if you consider the savings on running costs you can have the payback of the batteries in one year, obviously that depends on use. Have a look at our savings calculator at: www.bosch-professional.com/garden. In addition, you can save on service. Our electric brushless motors do not require servicing.

      Best regards

  • I think the price for the mower alone isn't too bad.  However with two batteries I believe it suggests that you get an estimated run time of only 45 to 60 minutes depending on operating conditions.

I need to run the mowers for 6 hours a day solid!  Wouldn't have time in-between jobs to do too many fast charges so would need a bank of batteries!! I agree the saving against fuel costs would be significant but a hell of an initial outlay.

    • Hi Graeme,

You are right about the runtime, however if you have a set of spare batteries and chargers to recharge them while you are mowing, you should be able to use it all day if needed!  In addition, with our "All day cordless power promotion" if you buy a Professional Lawnmower with 2 x 36v 6.0ah batteries and 2 x chargers we give you 2 batteries for free so you can mow all day!

The savings will be very significant, specially using the machine for 6 hours a day! Have a look at our savings calculator in the website: www.bosch-professional.com/garden, if we assume 6 hours of use a day during 200 working days... £782.40! excluding VAT you could have the payback of the batteries in one year!

Imagine what you could save with a fleet of electric products: Lawnmower, Brushcutter, Hedgecutter, Blower....
I hope the information was helpful.

      Best regards
