Work tools that don't (work that is)

Having read with interest the recent post on favorite tools just wondered if we were man/woman enough to fess up to buying gear that ended up a waste of space/useless.My most recent bad buy was a Joseph Bentley spade from B@They'd ran out of our usual brand (Fiskars) so as the JB spade looked and felt the part, nice wood shaft, stainless head and was slightly cheaper, £26, gave it a try,Waste of time wouldn't cut through even small roots and picked up only small amounts of soil.At least I got a refund but I know that scattered around our unit there are various items that were at best bought in haste!

I had a Ryobi multitool when I started out on a limited budget. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Loads of vibes, low on power, and I killed it in short order ! Learned my lesson and spent £££'s on Stihl gear, still going strong.
