  • This article is interesting and suggests a suitable weedkiller   http://landscaping.about.com/od/not-bad-weeds/p/wild-violets.htm

  • Hi David,

We have a product that works very well on the tougher lawn weeds called Praxys. This is the product that a lot of the Greenthumb guys will use as it really gets hold of most weeds including things like Oxalis and Trefoils that are often very hard to get rid of.

You can use it at lower dose rates, 5ml per 1L of water, for everyday weeds and then at the higher rate of 10ml per 1L of water for the tougher weeds.

You can find it on our website here http://www.agrigem.co.uk/weed-killers/selective-lawn/praxys-2l.html

If you need any other information, please let me kow.

    Cheers Ollie

  • I have used Cabbadex tanked with turf relay

worked for me on loads of hard to remove weeds

  • thanks for the reply

I don't think the Praxys will work on violets

I canot fid out about Cabbadex tanked what its made up of and is  turf relay the same as relay-p

I have ben reading that violas are one of the hardest weeds  in grass to get rid of

  • Hi,

Relay-P does have approval for lanws as it has both managed amenity turf and amenity grassland on the label along with grassland which is the agricultural part of it.

This is a link to the approval on the CRD website

If you need anything else, please let me know.
